 💻 THE ROLE

We are looking for a #TechTalent to work as a Developer for Data Management for a national project.


🙂 YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Develop new scripts primarily in C# and SQL, with occasional Python work.
  • Translate specifications from the data officer into detailed technical specifications for implementation.
  • Design, build, and upkeep Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business‑user requirements.
  • Produce and update documentation for existing scripts; reverse‑engineer legacy code to uncover underlying business rules.                                                    
  • Maintain and extend existing VBA scripts used for internal automations.             
  • Provide user support for Abacus, including:
    • Managing user access rights.
    • Investigating and resolving performance problems.
    • Performing server restarts when required.
    • Assisting users in creating data‑flow diagrams.
  • Participate in training sessions covering the team’s data‑architecture model and the Abacus environment.
  • Contribute to the evolution of architectural standards and, over time, potentially assume responsibilities that lead toward a data‑architect role.
                 
                                     
💡 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven professional experience in similar roles;
  • Proven experience in C# development and MS SQL;
  • Proficiency in VBA scripting for automating routine tasks;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, publish, and maintain Power BI reports and data visualisations;
  • Basic knowledge of Python;
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code;
  • Practical experience translating functional specifications into executable technical solutions;
  • Capability to read, understand and document existing code bases, and to reverse‑engineer legacy scripts to extract business logic;
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting performance issues and managing user access rights;
  • Good written and verbal communication for producing documentation and providing user support;
  • Familiarity with data‑management concepts and principles (this background will support the intended progression to a data‑architect role);
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken).
