IT RISK SPECIALIST
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an IT Risks Specialist to support the implementation and monitoring of IT Governance, Risk Management, and DORA compliance frameworks within a highly regulated Finance and Insurance environment. You will play a key role in ensuring governance adherence, managing IT risks, supporting compliance initiatives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT control and reporting processes.
 
What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Manage and monitor IT risks, ensuring proper identification, assessment, treatment, and reporting.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of IT Governance frameworks, controls, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain IT risk registers, monitor remediation plans, and oversee compliance with governance requirements.
• Prepare and present reports, KPIs, and risk indicators to governance committees and management bodies.
• Coordinate IT risk, governance, audit, and control activities with internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and facilitation of IT Risk, Cybersecurity, and Steering Committees.
• Monitor operational IT incidents and track corrective actions.
• Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of DORA governance requirements.
• Review contracts and governance requirements related to third-party providers and subcontractors.
• Promote awareness of IT risk culture and governance best practices across IT teams.

 
Your Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of IT Governance, Risk Management, and IT Control frameworks.
• Experience with governance and risk management standards such as COBIT, COSO, ISO 31000, ITIL, NIST, and DORA.
• Solid understanding of IT and Information Security environments.
• Experience producing governance, compliance, and risk reporting for management and stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ServiceNow.

 
Your Main Qualifications 

• Experience in Finance and/or Insurance environments.
• Proven experience in IT Risk Management and IT Governance activities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills within multicultural environments.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to quality and deadlines.
• Ability to follow governance standards, procedures, and methodologies.
• Strong listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within and outside Portugal when required.
• Fluency in French (mandatory C1 level).
• Good command of English (C1 level is considered a strong advantage).
